WHAT MISSOURIANS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE NATIONAL DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM
For several of these folks it has changed around their[condition] completely. It’s just been absolutely phenomenal. They are not powerless. They are in control. That is very exciting for me.
TINA
DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM LIFESTYLE COACH, YMCA
We want to be healthy and strong for our kids. We’ve got two kids, age 14 and 9 and we want to set a good example for them.
TIM AND AMY
DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS
I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to spend time with. I was very fortunate to sign up for this class and have these ladies and gentlemen to be along for our healthy living journey. We are more like siblings at this point. There is lots of laughter but also lots of encouragement and exchanging of ideas.
WENDY
NATIONAL DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM PARTICIPANT
I want to thank the YMCA [diabetes prevention program] for saving my life. From where I started from to where I am now is totally in a different place.
VALERIE
DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM PARTICIPANT
Mary has been in the program for just 5 months and has already lost more than 30 pounds! Since joining the program Mary says she is more active by taking daily two mile walks with her husband and dog, joined a gym and is now taking Water Aerobic classes twice a week. She really enjoys TAT's Health Solutions National DPP and is very happy she joined.
